My mother's day mani is different than most I have seen-- they're not pink or purple! No no no... if you knew my mom, you'd laugh if I did a pink manicure in tribute of her. Instead, I had a very special polish from Literary Lacquer that I solely based on the name. It's called Love You Forever. Do you recognize the name? It's only one of the greatest children's books of all time. Love You Forever is of course based off of Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.
I have wonderful memories of my mom reading me this book when I was little. I can hear her saying, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be." I seriously love this book! I know it will be a treasured one once I get my own classroom!
You can see Love You Forever on my ring finger. The formula on this is amazing! Two coats and I was good to go! On the other nails is China Glaze Fast Track from the Capitol Colors collection released in 2012. I found the little rhinestones at the Dollar Tree. Yay for frugal nail art!
The color on Love You Forever was a little difficult to capture while still showing the subtle linear holo effect. My photos show the blue a little too bright! Love You Forever is a bit more baby blue. The holo was also a little hard to capture! While it's not an IN-YOUR-FACE holo, it's more holo than this in real life.
I have a feeling this mani is going to stay on my fingers for a while. Oh! Did I mention this is my first time having rhinestones on my nails? I love them! Quick and easy nail art... and so pretty! You'll be seeing more rhinestones from now on, for sure.
On behalf of daughter's everywhere... HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! ♥
